Description Water casting (dropping molten silver into water) feels like casting runes, reading tea leaves, or looking for shapes in clouds. It’s total chaos and you have to try many times before anything actually wearable happens. But if you keep at it, you might end up with something unique, unexpected and delightful like this bird and branch pendant! This handmade sterling silver necklace features a one-of-a-kind water cast pendant that naturally formed into the shape of a bird perched on a branch — a beautiful reminder of chaos, creativity, and chance. Created using the ancient technique of water casting, where molten silver is dropped into water to form organic, unpredictable shapes, each piece is entirely unique. This pendant is made from 925 sterling silver, with my only intervention being to solder the bird to the branch and add a sturdy silver bail for the chain.
