If you are ordering trickle vents, we recommend a 20mm add on to the top to allow space for plastering above the trickle vent. We do offer a large colour range of blinds in glass, by default this listing is colour matched to your door but let us know when you order if you would like an alternative colour. FAQs: Do I need a cill?  The majority of bifold doors will require a cill, but it depends on the opening and what the doors are sat on. A cills purpose is to direct rainwater away from materials such as bricks underneath. If you have other methods of waterproofing you may not need one. Ask the advice of your builder or fitter to be sure! What is a threshold?  A threshold is the bottom part of your door. There are a few options to choose from – firstly the most common is a standard threshold which is 55mm high as is fully weather rated. This does mean there is a step over the bifold doors when walking over them. Alternatively, we have a low threshold which is just 20mm high and gives the closest to a flush finish to the floor, depending on flooring height. The low threshold is anodised silver and is not weather rated however, you can add a rebate (low threshold with rebate) which comes with an upstand, to provide the weatherproofing but similar to a standard threshold, there is a small step over to consider. What is flatpack delivery?  Our doors are delivered assembled as standard, which means the aluminium frame and doors are all in one, and the glass separate ready for glazing on site. Often if you have access issues (such as no easy access to a garden) you may need to order flatpack so the door can be transported through the house. This means the outerframe and threshold comes in sections to be put together and fit into the opening, then the doors are fitted to the frame by your fitter. Once we recieve your order we will double check it with you, just for peace of mind, then your doors will go into production and a delivery date will be scheduled. Doors take around 2-3 weeks to be manufactured and ready for delivery. If you have a specific date you are needing your aluminium doors for, just let us know. How we deliver your 3 panel bifold door We send all bifolds and French doors out fully built, with glass separate, when they are smaller than 4.6m wide. In cases where you don’t have good enough access to where your doors will be installed, we can send smaller bifolding doors out flat pack too – just let us know when you are ordering. There will need to be someone on site to help our driver offload your new bifolding doors – we always call a few days before delivery to arrange a day suitable for you.
